Women in Governance

From our myths we observed that, we got the element of strategy from the goddess Athena. She used to play a major role in the decisions involving high virtue of strategy.

Let us travel to the era of rock age where the humans used to depend on others only for their appetite. In the initial stages female’s role is as same as Athena in Olympus. But the difference occurs in the later days was, the way we used to survive i.e. when the living being completely depends on strength criterion, an standing applause to the creator of the human cell, He showed a difference in the hormones of men and women. Of course along with the strategy, male species acquired this strategy views by inducing from the female ones and practiced quite efficiently. Now the balance sheet showed more inclination towards male species and stated them as predominant beings.

Yes, he succeeded, adapted to nature’s purpose and upgraded. Kingdoms established, great walls portioned the regions with the supreme chair for the supreme leader, not to mention of course it is the male one. This continues for several decades or even centuries.

Until the entry of beautiful era of 10th century or even later, several forms or extremes of human morality along with immorality, patience along with impatience oozed out.

Let us begin at the child marriages, sati which was the immortal marks of the inhuman behaviour towards female species. Even though we are aware of facts but we were bound to words such as culture, tradition, monarchy, supremacy.

Not all but some people recognized that both genders are born with same idea of progressive development of future. After some revolutionary decisions and movements we tried our extent to abolish the way ‘we’ in other words society used to treat women. The time where females are bound only to fire place to cook the food and to dilute the male desire and to produce an offspring which is a male of course, who continues his father’s legacy, the time where the females are restricted in the decision room.

Yes, both are born same, but in the course of time her cells remained inactive, of course they are from Venus but need an extreme trigger to active again.

Like a small drop of water before a heavy rain, some raised and stood against all odds of society by fighting for the equal rights to the female along with males.
The way they changed is very rapid now every girl is aware of the society requirements, most of the girls are allowed to prefer higher education and providing us that ‘she’ can compete with ‘Him’. Our Indian constitution supported and encouraged them in every way possible. 33% reservations and some fees waivers to their applications even to name some which are encouraging more participation of women.

Yes they have acquired everything in order to compete with us. Recent statistics shows that we Indians ranked 28th in the presence of women directors by climbing two positions when compared to previous year. In India we have Chanda Kochar MD and CEO of ICICI Bank, Indra Nooyi CEO of PepsiCo, who are leading the companies towards success and increasing the standards of India and are standing by keeping their head high among the other nations.
Today’s women are socializing very fast when compared to the previous decades. But still we have many walls which are camouflaged by the bonds of human relations. These include being a daughter, being a wife, being a mother to children, being a daughter in law.

All these bonds bind our Indian women to not being socialized. Some brave women climbed those walls and efficiently managing all her responsibilities be it a personal or professional.
As a developing economy we are finding a number of women who are climbing the professional ladders even in the presence of high forces which are not allowing them to do so, but the fact is that as 1.4bn populated country occupying more than half a billion as females, the present number is not meeting a perfect sense.

Indian parenting is the main reason for this situation where we are now. I didn’t intend to say that it not quite an appreciable one, but I confess that it must change in accordance with the society.
